LT1305-R-120 VAC
Interface Card
for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1305 Adjustable
Frequency Drive
Description
The 120 VAC interface card mounts directly to the
control interface terminal block of the 1305 family of
drives. It is suitable for all 460 Volt and 2 & 3
HP 230 Volt drives. It allows the use of 120 VAC
control logic. The card allows Start, Stop, Jog, Enable
and Reverse inputs with 3 other contact closure inputs
SW1,SW2 and SW3. The LT1305-R-120VAC includes a Form C
Relay operated from the open collector transistor
(Output #2) on the 1305 Drive.
Installation
1. Remove all power from the drive at L1, L2, L3
terminals.
2.
Remove drive front cover. Verify that the bus NEON
capacitor discharge light is off, before
proceeding.
3.
Connect power, ground and motor wires to the Power
Terminal Block.
4.
Loosen the screws on the Control Terminal Block to
allow the Control Interface card to slide between the
wire hold down clip and the terminal block.
5.
Install the larger card to the lower terminals marked 1
through 10. Install the smaller card to the upper
terminals marked 11 through 20.
Note: If the control
logic signals originate from a triac or noise
suppressed source, any off state leakage current must
be reduced to below 3ma.. A 4.7K ohm, 10 Watt resistor
installed between the input signal and L2 will usually
reduce the leakage current to the appropriate level.
This resistor must be mounted external the
drive.
6.
Terminate the control logic signals to the terminal
block TB1 on the interface card. See Leaf Technology
drawing LT1305-R-120VAC for wire placement.
7.
Make sure that no control logic voltage is present and
apply power to the terminals L1, L2 and L3.
8.
Program drive per instructions in the 1305 user manual
(Publication 1305-5.1).
9.
Apply power to TB1 control circuits.
