LT160-N-120VAC I
nterface Card
for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 160 Adjustable Frequency Drive

Description

The 120 VAC interface module mounts on standard din rail 4 inches in front of the drive or it can be mounted on either side of the drive with 1 inch clearance. It is suitable for all 460 Volt and 230 Volt drives. It allows the use of 120 VAC for all control logic inputs for the SF1 model and adds SW1, SW2, and SW3 for the PS1 model.

I
nstallation
1. Remove all power from the drive at L1, L2, L3 terminals.

2. Verify that the power is off, before proceeding.

3. Connect power, ground and motor wires to the Power Terminal Block.

4. Loosen the screws on the Control Terminal Block to allow the 8 conductor ribbon cable to slide into terminal blocks, 1 through 8 tighten accordingly. (For SF1 models, connect only 4 conductors of the ribbon cable to terminals 5 through 8 , cut or fold back conductors 1 through 4.)

5. Terminate the control logic signals to the terminal block TB1 on the interface module. See Leaf Technology Drawing LT160-N-120VAC for wire placement.

Note:
If the control logic signals originate from a triac or noise suppressed source, any off state leakage current must be reduced to below 3ma.. A 4.7K ohm, 10 Watt resistor installed between the input signal and L2 will usually reduce the leakage current to the appropriate level. This resistor must be mounted external the drive.

6. Make sure that no control logic voltage is present and apply power to the terminals L1, L2 and L3.

7. Program drive per instructions in the 160 SSC user manual (Publication 160-5.0).

8. Apply power to TB1 control circuits.
